The voting page for the girl group vocal survival program 'V-1' has been opened.
tvN's 'V-1' (produced by Park Sanghyuk and Kim Kwantae) is a girl group Vocal No.1 survival program that selects the best "Vocal Queen" among Korean girl group members. The title, which combines V, for "Vocal," with "Best Vocal," and the number 1 for "No.1," will grab attention. In 'V-1', the best vocal members will be decided through a fierce competition of active girl group members.
The voting page, opened today, attracts 24 well-known girl group members, including WJSN's Yeonjung, Weki Meki's Choi Yoojung and Ji Sooyeon, Gugudan's Nayoung, April's Jinsol and Chaewon, Cherry Bullet's Haeyoon and Bora, Sonamoo's Minjae and High.D, and DIA's Huihyeon and Jooeun. Jung Dakyung, who made it to Top 4 in "Miss Trot" and participated as a member of the group Venus is also participating. There are curiosities surrounding how Jung Dakyung will do in a girl group, not as a trot singer. Although the name is not widely known yet, participants with infinite possibilities are also expected to be included.
At the same time, since 24 participants were selected out of the first batch of 86 applicants, all attention is focusing on who will be the final cast to compete in the finals. The main competitors who will advance to the finals will be selected through online voting and the judges' evaluation results coupled with the viewers' precious votes after watching the V-1 support video submitted by the 24 contestants, released through the voting page today. Producer Park Sanghyuk, who directs V-1, said, "Many of the girl group members have excellent vocals as well as performances on stage. I hope viewers will select 12 finalists out of the 24 contestants selected in the first round, and I ask for your interest in the competition that will be held during the Chuseok holiday." Meanwhile, tvN girl group vocal No.1 survival "V-1" will be broadcast as a special pilot for this year's Chuseok holiday.
